Citation Styles Guide: Home

This guide is intended to help students with the different citation styles used at the College.

Guide summary

In this guide, you will find resources that you can use for citing sources in your academic papers. In academia, there are many different citation styles that have been created by different disciplines. Each style has been tailored to serve the specific needs of a given discipline or disciplines. Your teacher will tell you exactly which style she or he wants you to use in your class, but, broadly speaking, the styles used at the College are as follows:

To help you out, the Library has created a tab for each of these styles, containing all the basic information you will need to cite your sources, as well as links to websites that will provide you with further information. We have also included information on how to create annotated bibliographies for MLA, APA, and Chicago style, and have included information on how to include tables and figures in your work when using MLA or APA style.

Also, the librarians can always help you with citation style, so don't hesitate to ask!

We're here to help!
