The Anchor Bible Commentaries

The Anchor Bible Commentaries are a series of line by line interpretations of the Bible done by modern scholars. New volumes of the Anchor Bible are released regularly to reflect new developments in modern scholarship. Each chapter of the Anchor Bible Commentary covers a range of verses from a single chapter of a Book of the Bible. At the end of each chapter, you will find a bibliography that contains useful further readings on those verses.

All of the volumes of the Anchor Bible Commentaries can be found on Main Floor of the Library, on the shelves near the student computers.
