Your Local Public Library
Depending on where you live, there usually is a local public library where you may obtain free access by registering an account with them. Below are some tools for finding your local library.
Montreal Public Libraries (Website)
You may select a public library by location from the "Bibliothèques" link in the page main menu.
Please Note: This does not include libraries in Baie d'Urfe, Beaconsfield, Cote-Saint-Luc, Dorval, Hampstead, Kirkland, Montreal Est, Montreal Ouest, Mount-Royal, Pointe-Claire, Saint-Anne-de-Bellevue, Senneville and Westmount.
Other Public Libraries (Website)
If you cannot find your local library in the above sources, you can search in Google for your city's name and "Public Library."

Recommended Public Libraries
Marianopolis College students may have free access to these public libraries.
Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec - BAnQ (Website)
All Quebec residents are able to obtain a subscriber's card for the BAnQ, which is both a public library with an extensive collection and a national heritage archive.
Westmount Public Library (Website)
Students and faculty of Marianopolis College may be granted access to the Westmount Public Library regardless of where they live. To obtain a membership, please follow the instructions from the Westmount Public Library link above.
Other Public Libraries
These libraries are open to the public for on-site use but require membership fees for borrowing and certain services.
Atwater Library and Computer Centre (Website)
This private, non-profit community library, is open to the public. Resources may be viewed on-site for free, however a paid membership is required for borrowing.
Jewish Public Library (Website)
In addition to the collections found in most public libraries, this library also collects Judaica resources and provides services for the Montreal Jewish community. Resources may be viewed on-site for free, however a paid membership is required for borrowing, with cheaper rates for students.
