360-700-MS: Arts and Science Integrative Project: Finding sources

This guide contains Library resources for researching a topic in the arts, sciences, and social sciences. It has been created to support the Arts and Sciences Integrative Project course.

The Library's databases

You can access these or any other of the Library's databases from the Library Page on the Marianopolis Website or through our A-Z list of databases.

Logging in

To log in to any of the Library's databases, please follow these step-by-step instructions.

Finding scholarly journal articles - EBSCO

Finding scholarly journal articles - JSTOR

Finding scholarly journal articles - CBCA Complete

Finding French-language scholarly journal articles - Érudit

Finding books - Search the Library catalogue

Search the Library Catalogue Using the Advanced Search

The fastest and easiest way to search for books and eBooks on your topic is to use the Library Catalogue's Advanced Search. The Advanced Search will give you access to multiple search boxes, which will allow you to apply the techniques we discuss in Creating a Research Plan.

Please Note: Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the physical Library is currently closed. As a result, it is not possible to borrow any of our print books or other physical items. The catalogue can still be used, however, for accessing eBooks.

      Finding books - eBook databases

The Library has three eBook databases. The contents of both of these databases are linked directly through the Library Catalogue, so we recommend that you search through the Catalogue instead of searching through the databases individually, although you can also search them directly by clicking on the links below:
